care instructions: Machine wash cold, mild detergent, do not use bleach. Tumble dry medium. Remove from dryer immediately and fold. Iron on medium setting if desired.

These are lovely, the color holds well -- fades a little with washings but not as bad as another blue one I"ve had from Beddingtons. THe color stands up to a sunny room without fading. I love this set;however there is a drawback. It shrinks A LOT when washed. I didn't put it in the dryer either - I hung it over the stair railing. It shrank by 4 inches in length. THe width stayed relatively the same, but the coverlet doesn't cover to the end of the mattress anymore. I have a solution during the winter months as I bought a second one and keep the bottom one higher up and the top one so that it clears the mattress. Fine in winter when I need both for warmth, but I'll be sacrificing length come spring. Seems to me some quality control measures could be put in place.
