Bed Sheets - The best way to care for your sheets
- All sheets should be laundered separately, never with towels - this causes pilling.
- Sheets should be washed in warm/cold water, never HOT.
- To help set the dye in a coloured sheet, use 1/2 cup of white vinegar in the first wash cycle.
- Detergent with "ultra" cleaning power should be avoided as this causes sheets to fade. Use 1/4 of what is recommended and use a gentle cycle.
- Do not use fabric softener or fabric dryer sheets, as they coat the fibres and make them less soft. We recommend trying our Dryer Balls instead.
- Shake wrinkles from sheets before putting them in the dryer and always use a cool dryer setting to help prevent shrinking. To minimize wrinkles in cotton sheets, remove from dryer while still tumbling and a bit damp.
- Flannel sheets will shrink 3" when drying. Always wash flannel alone or fluff will be all over everything! Flannel sheets will still shed lots of fluff after the first several washes.
- The more sheets are washed the softer and more comfortable they become!
